Redstone is for everyone! Located in Calgary’s northeast quadrant, this community is designed with special attention to the details like greenspaces and beautiful streetscapes. With parks and playgrounds winding pathways, Redstone was designed to bring families together, and help them thrive! The community also offers easy access to Stoney Trail, Cross Iron and endless opportunities for fun. With places like the Genesis Centre, Century Downs Racetrack and nearby Deerfoot City, it’s no wonder families like Harry’s are flocking Redstone to start their happily ever after.
Harry, 42, along with his wife and two kids moved to Calgary seven years ago after they fell in love with the open green spaces and the city’s welcoming spirit. “It reminded me of my hometown in B.C, spending time with family and friends, walking the outdoor trails – this city feels like a big community,” Harry says. His family first moved into a home in a community right around the corner from Redstone. But, as time went by, and the family grew, their needs changed. “We were looking to upgrade. We wanted a bigger property that backed onto green space, and we really wanted to build a home of our own.” Harry explains. “We heard about Redstone because our first home was close by. We were very excited to explore it ourselves. There was a lot of buzz about Redstone’s trails, parks and retail options, so we thought the community could be a good fit for us.”
Future school sites, playgrounds, conveniences and tons of opportunities for family fun are major draws for people who move to Redstone, and Harry’s case was no different. “We immediately fell in love with the community. There’s lots of green space, parks, walking and biking trails – so there’s something for families to enjoy.” Harry was also sold on the community’s convenient location, and all the home options available for them to custom build. Just like that, Redstone had checked all Harry’s boxes. His family was ready to start a new life in the buzzing northeast neighbourhood. Soon enough, they built their dream home with Broadview Homes, one of the many amazing builders in the community.
After two years in Redstone, Harry and his family love it just as much as their first day. “We love it here. Our kids play soccer in the park and our parents love walking the trails with their grandkids when they come to visit from B.C.” Redstone’s diverse community of people also helped Harry feel right at home. “Redstone is really a melting pot. You get to meet and know different people from different cultures.” Harry explains. “Everyone is outgoing, and the community’s design really helps bring everyone together – we spend time in the parks and playgrounds and get to know each other more.” When asked if he would recommend Redstone for other homebuyers, Harry gave an overwhelmingly positive response. “Yes, absolutely! There’s so much here for young families. Redstone is clean, its green and very community oriented. I'm also really excited about Groundshakers new strip mall coming to the community.”
Harry is a current resident of Redstone and has lived there with his family for over two years. Special thanks to Harry for his assistance in creating this blog.
